*In race 3A Tulane 1 and UWF places swap. It was an oversight in the
initial score calculations and both teams were notified. A division
positions were changed.
USA's Back to the Bayou (originally UNO's Regatta)
November 11, 2006
Regatta Highlights: The morning forecast called for the front to blow
through around 1pm so Karl Kleinschrodt performed a safety, capsize, and
heavy air tuning briefing before the start of the races. 12 races total.
6A and 6B. Races 1-5 were sailed in shifty 5-10 knots with warm sunny
skies. Races 6-12 were sailed while the front blew through with
temperatures quickly falling and winds increasing to 15-25 knots. There
were a few capsizes but no damage. Special thanks to Buccaneer Yacht Club
and the members who donated their time and power boat usage.
Congratulations to Texas. Mark Hulings, Sarah Parker, Michelle Kasney,
Kristen Johnston, Barrett Fontenot, Nataleigh Vann.
