I would like to nominate A&M-Corpus Christi, and the University of
Central Oklahoma for most improved team of the year.
I am nominating BillyJack Melchor for Sportmanship because even though he
never was able to finish in the top five he always gave it his all, and
asked as many questions as he could to understand the rules of sailing.
Plus he got lost at the A&M regatta, and yes we found him.

It is near the end of the school year and there are just a few things
left
for us before summer begins. I am opening the nomination process for the
SEISA awards for Sportsmanship and the Most Improved Team. I will be taking
nominations between now and next Tuesday at MIDNIGHT, voting will be by the
entire district and conclude next Friday. Any SEISA sailor, officer, or
team
sponsor may nominate an individual or team. There are no limitations on who
can be nominated (skipper/crew, freshman/senior,
associate/provisional/regular).

*13.1 Sportsmanship*
The Sportsmanship award is given to an individual who is active in SEISA
sailing, who abides by the rules of sailing, who is respectful of fellow
competitors, and who accepts victory or defeat graciously.
*13.2 Most Improved Team*
The Most Improved Team award is given to the team that makes the most
progress throughout the season to improve their performance and enhance
their commitment to SEISA sailing.
