I thought about this after the meeting. Its just a few words about your
team's website.

Every team needs a website (even if you have one, read on). It doesn't have
to be anything big and fancy, just something that you can use to inform
people about your team.

Some suggestions for info might be:
- Sailing venue
- How many and what type of boats you have
- Practice days and times
- Schedule of events your team will participate in
- Officers
- Contact info
- Sponsors (i.e. rec sports, varsity, companies, etc.)
- Donation information
- Size of the team
- Applications, info sheets
- Weather information (your members will check this a lot)
- Anything else important that you need current and potential team members
to know

Other helpful guidelines:
- Make sure your site is easily navigable. The links should make sense and
the viewer should be able to find everything easily.
- You may also choose to include some kind of forum, message board, or
something of the like. An e-mail list is important too.
- Most importantly, make sure your site is UP TO DATE! No one likes going to
a site that has year old (or older) info on it. In my eyes, it looks bad and
makes you look inactive so be on top of that. I would say update your site
at the very least once a semester to keep information current.
- Another important note is to make sure your website is compatible with all
browsers, namely Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox (there are others, of
course). This will insure that your site will look the same for anyone who
views the site.

If anyone needs help setting something up I can do my best to get you
started, but please have someone internet/website savvy to update and
maintain your site.

Good luck and let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

Your friendly neighborhood Internet Coordinator,
Derek
