SEISA Schools and Supporters,
I am happy to announce that SESIA has worked a deal with Kattack to have their GPS transponders on board the boats during SEISA Dinghy Champs @ Texas next weekend. This will allow us to accurately track and replay all the races. Here is a little about the system and how things will work: - Each boat will be equipped with a small GPS in a solid Pelican case attached to the base of the mast. - GPS tracks will be used for media purposes only, not for protests or redress. - A Kattack technician (Chris) will be there to calibrate the system and answer any questions you may have. - After the data is collected Chris will compile the races and post them on the Internet for all to see. www.kattack.com This will be the first SEISA event tracked this way, but Kattack has done several other college races (Hap Moore TR, ACC's), as well as some large keel boat regattas (Key West, J-24 NA's).
