SEISA, Hey y'all! Hope everyone had a great summer!! Congratulations to those teams that went to national championships and represented SEISA! I hope everyone is excited for a new semester of recruiting, teaching, and competing. The fall is a perfect time to get new people involved and get them out on the water.
The schedule this fall is full of some great regattas all over the disctrict. With just one change at the beginning with SMU moving their regatta from this past weekend to September 25-26. I hope everyone is looking forward to the season opener with two regattas this weekend hosted by OSU and Tulane. I also want to let y'all know that if you ever need anything, I am happy to help with anything you need. We are very fortunate to have Blake, but I hope that y'all will feel comfortable to come to me or any other officer with any questions. Whether its NORs, rotations, team building, or fundraising, don't hesitate to ask. I do have a a couple of notes from the Annual Meeting from May to pass along to y'all. First, USC will be holding Eastern and Western 2011 Semifinals in the same location, a trend they hope to continue in the future, 2011 Spring Nationals will be held at the Gorge, and 2011 Singlehanded Nationals with be hosted by Northwestern. SEISA is up to host nationals in spring 2012, singlehanded by PCCSC, and MCSA for Sloops. The University of Texas put their name in for hosting and will put an official bid in at the Winter Meeting. The other big thing that was passed at the meeting is utalizing reusable water containers. This is a really important innitative that I would like everyone in SEISA to embrace. The ICSA even got in contact with Kleen Kanteen <http://www.kleankanteen.com/collegesailing/> and got a great deal going. Y'all should definetly go and check it out and order yours today. Ohh and make sure you get a carrabiner to keep it safely in your boat. Let me know if you need anything! Hope to see y'all soon! -- Cait Taylor Broadcast Journalism | The University of Texas President | The University of Texas Sailing | SEISA 419.315.4806 | [email protected] ________________________________________________ seisa mailing list [email protected] http://www.collegesailing.org/mailman/?listname=seisa Unsubscribe: Send a blank email to [email protected]
