Hello,

I wrote a program to extract single components from an event using
wavetool. First I merge all used waveform files with
'wavetool -wav_files [file containing all waveform filenames]
-chan_out_file [output file]'.
>From this output file I get the channel number that I use to identify
the part I want to use. Then I extract the part I am searching for
with:
'wavetool -wav_files [same input file] -chansel [input file with channel
start time and duration] -ground 3'.

For some components the PGA is set to a value about 1 m/s². This is not
realistic and when I have a look at the seisan plots the PGA is not that
high. This seems to occur arbitrarily and no pattern is recognizable.

I use seisan version 9.0.1 32bit on Ubuntu Linux.

Maybe you have an idea why this happens? I would be very thankful for
any hint you can give me.

Thank you and with kind regards

Gregor
