i looked at mulplt.for, the option had been commented out by somebody.
putting it back in, it seems to work.
you have to change mulplt.for here:
c
c optionally deselect all channels too far
c
c call mulplt_dist(nchan,station)
take the c away in front of call mulplt_dist and recompile
