Hi DM,

Short answer: dirf command is your friend; then use the generated
filenr.lis as input when calling wavetool :)
Long answer, do the following steps (text in blue are hardtyped):

1. Go to seisan waveform directory:
    ex. cd ~/seismo/WAV/TEST_/2020/01
2. use dirf command, this will generate a file named filenr.lis
ex. dirf * --- Note: assuming all the files inside the
directory are in seisan format
3. call wavetool command, routine sample below:
       vmepd_staff@phivolcs:~/Documents/sample$ wavetool
Filename of s-file or waveform file, number or filenr.lis

       filenr.lis
       Ground motion output (dis = 1, vel = 2, acc = 3, none = return)

Filter low and high, return for no filter

      Number of wav-files 1
      Number of wav-files present 1
      2020-03-05-0000-00S.VSPHI_037 SEISAN
Total number of channels available: 37
      Total duration: 1805.10510
Output formats (SEISAN, GSE (def=CM6), GSEINT, SAC, MSEED, SEED,
SEEDDL)
      Default is SEISAN=return
      SAC

 Hope this helps.

Cheers,
cj
