Dear Colleagues,
I get different versions of earthquake's localization (SEISAN - Locator)
and with different main parameters: 1) RMS, 2) Time and 3) epicentral error.
For example:
1) option
RMS value: 0.30; Time: +/- 0.72s; Latitude = +/- 3.1 km; Lon = +/- 4.2 km.
2) option
RMS value: 0.40; Time: +/- 0.95s; Latitude = +/- 2.7 km; Lon = +/- 3.6 km.
I want to understand which localization option is better and more optimal?
Which of the named parameters plays a more significant role in the accuracy
of localization?
I would be grateful for the expressed opinions of network members.
