Is there any specific tasks that are looking to be addressed for the
selenium hack fest tomorrow night?
I'll be chatting with Joe O'Brien about the specifics later today... but
for now... the "big items" on my list are:
* The Selenium Ruby Driver... testing, documentation, finding and fixing
any issues. Perhaps screencasting Selenium w/ Ruby Driver on a test site.
* Testing and checking in any pending patches - I think there are a fews
issues in Jira (or emails to the user/dev list) that have patches
attached, but haven't been tested or in checked into the repository.
Here are a few specific ones:
Frames support -
http://wiki.openqa.org/display/SEL/selectFrame
Unselect command -
http://lists.public.thoughtworks.org/pipermail/selenium-devel/2005-December/000928.html
* Stuff that are probably easy to work on:
Allowing comments in "table" test -->
http://jira.openqa.org/browse/SEL-133
* Investigating Bret Pettichord's proposal for changing how Selenium
"knows" when a page has completed downloading and can continue with the
rest of the test:
Implementing this would (in theory) remove the need for Selenium test
writers to add lots of "*andWait" to Selenium tests..
http://lists.public.thoughtworks.org/pipermail/selenium-devel/2005-November/000916.html
I'll hopefully have a more concrete and *focused* list later today.
Thanks!
-Jason
