Hi,

Those fields aren't mandatory - it's just that Semantic MediaWiki considers
blank values to be an error; which is really a bug in SMW. The only way
around it now is to disable warning messages in SMW; there's an explanation
of how to do that on the SF homepage. The "not a number" warning looks
different, though - I don't know what's causing that. Could you send the
source code for the template?
