Is it possible to hide some attributes so that only admins can see them? If not directly, then perhaps someone can suggest an architecture that makes it possible to do it sort of indirectly?
I'm working on building a contact information app with Semantic MediaWiki, and I really like the idea of being able to let users edit their own information with their existing logins on our public wiki. We would use SMW to store information like name and email address, which pretty much everyone involved considers public, as well as things like mobile phone and mailing address, which are primarily so the freeculture.org organizers can contact these volunteers. Is there some way to hide some of the information from non-admins? Maybe <ask> queries could/do act differently based on if you have permission to read the page from which the data gets collected? Alternately, the Property itself could have Attribute::Only_for_admins? I hope that this question makes sense. If you have questions about this question don't hesitate to ask me to clarify. -- Asheesh. -- Fine day to work off excess energy.
