Sorry for sounding negative, I should confess that partly I wanted to provoke this discussion, which is a bit of a trolling tactic, so I apologise again.
I see your point that discussion on list is preferable to discussion in bug reports, so perhaps I had an incorrect expectation about replies to bugs. Generally I do try to take the time to report bugs, and I should say I haven't found many in SMW. However, I think it helps and encourages the reporter a lot if someone takes some action to acknowledge the receipt of a bug. On this topic, I was hoping to get feedback on where in the source code I could go to try to implement certain fixes. I'd like to try to get more understanding of the code, but I don't really know where to start. I'd like to work on a patch for the bug that fixes the "link = none" (minor) bug in the ask query. Are there developer docs that outline the structure of the source code? I'd really like to start submitting patches along with my feature requests :-) Thanks to all the developers (and all the bug reporters!) for all the amazing work on this amazing project, and thanks for all your patient replies.
