Thanks, I have committed the patch to trunk now.

The copy of SMW in REL1_16 actually is some random snapshot of the SMW trunk 
from some time ago. Such branches are mainly useful for extensions that are 
always installed from trunk, and for which the respective installation guides 
advice people to use this source for older MW versions. So I hope that nobody 
actually runs SMW from a branch (since our installation guide does not say 
so).

The stable versions of SMW are at 
http://svn.wikimedia.org/svnroot/mediawiki/tags/extensions/SemanticMediaWiki/ 
and the development version is in trunk. I have backported the translation to 
the SVN tag version of SMW 1.5.0.
