This discussion is void now, as I already did all the backports of the critical bugs, and all places where you can get SMW 1.5.1 are giving the fixed version. I agree that this method should not be used a lot, but I think it is bearable in our given case. Especially, this was only done because two of the three reported bugs were critical in the sense that they broke existing features. I will not continue to backport minor bugfixes to SMW 1.5.1 -- there will always be improvements of the SVN code over the latest release, yet we do not want to release a new version every two weeks. So let us do some more work until we prepare the next release. Regards, Markus P.S. Distributed open source development is a wonderful thing, but it is hard to track the SVN logs for relevant changes. The critical bug in the OWL/RDF export came to my attention only days after it had been fixed, and a more speedy reaction would have been possible. In order for me to make informed decisions about when to release the next version, it would be useful if SVN committers would let me know when major fixes (or other important extensions of the functionality) have been implemented. Another aspect of this is code quality: it is always good to have another developer look at changes before they are shipped with the new version. -- Markus Krötzsch <mar...@semantic-mediawiki.org> * Personal page: http://korrekt.org * Semantic MediaWiki: http://semantic-mediawiki.org * Semantic Web textbook: http://semantic-web-book.org --
