That is a very good point indeed! The closest thing we currently have
there is probably

http://semantic-mediawiki.org/wiki/Programmer%27s_guide_to_SMW

which is focussed on technical aspects only. We should really have a
"Get involved" link on the main page instead ("Programmer's guide" would
be in the wrong section anyway, since it is not about the project but
more like a part of advanced documentation).

The only other hint is at

http://semantic-mediawiki.org/wiki/Contact

where people who wish to get involved are pointed to the devel mailing
list (which is indeed a good place to ask for all kinds of involvements,
but the current text does clearly not inspire potential contributors to
send an email there).

It would be great if you could draft such a page. It could link to the
existing programmer's guide for some technical information, but
programming is clearly not the only way of getting involved! For
example, we have some awesome translators working on the site already
(the translated new homepage was almost complete in several languages
even before I announced it). It would be great to have one place where
various ideas for getting involved are offered (even "help developing
some code" is not really specific enough to get anybody started). But I
guess this is all obvious to you anyway, and you already have some idea
on how such a page should look :-)

Markus
