Hi Don, First of all, I want to apologise for your inconvenience.
We actually know about wikiadmins who are using the deployment framework to regularily upgrade their SMW+ installations :-) Nevertheless, we are aware that the Deployment Framework requires more engineering work to make it more robust. We are planning to release a new version (1.3) of the Deployment Framework in early December; we are trying harder to improve it until then! Please don't hesitate to inform us about possible issues here, or on ontoprise's SMWforum (see [1]) or directly by Email to smw_supp...@ontoprise.de. Thank you for you feedback Daniel PS: I am getting in touch with Don directly to start with the bug assessment. 1: http://smwforum.ontoprise.com/smwforum/index.php/Main_Page > Message: 4 > Date: Tue, 16 Nov 2010 07:27:24 -0800 (PST) > From: don undeen <donund...@yahoo.com> > Subject: [SMW-devel] SMWHalo deployment extension anyone? > To: smw dev list <semediawiki-devel@lists.sourceforge.net> > Message-ID: <717204.84447...@web111301.mail.gq1.yahoo.com> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" > > Anyone here have any experience using the deployment agent from Halo? > > It's supposed to give apt-live functionality to SMW; a > command-line tool for > downloading, installing, and upgrading SMWHalo extensions. > > Just curious, because (some of) the extensions I've installed > using this tool > aren't showing up under Special:Version, and some of the code > I'm getting from > there is giving me "unsupported operand type" errors, from > attempts to use '+' > to add to arrays. > > is this tool really ready for "prime time"? > I guess I'm back to the zip downloads...
