Yes: size of the export (and, related to this, speed and memory usage of the export). MediaWiki already has an XML export for this purpose, and I don't see why we should duplicate this function. RDF is not better for encoding plain text blobs, and RDF tools have no means of handling MW wikitext data in a meaningful way.
