Hi, > - How do you currently detect semantic annotations and templates in the > wiki-text (regex or so)? I had a go at Inline Editing a while ago. Back then it was not possible to detect semantic annotations after wikitext is shown in HTML. I proposed to wrap annotations in RDFa, e.g. as done at [1], but this would require some changes to parsing. If the shown html expressed its annotations, it would be easier to implement inline editing functionality.
There have been other efforts about Inline Editing: * "tabularform" format of Halo * Some demos by Vulcan * <http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:JanPaul123/Sentence-level_editing> If you are interested, look for "Inline Editing" in the developer mailing list. I do not want to discourage you - I think it is a great idea - but you should have a look at other efforts.
