Hi,

I assume that Semantic MediaWiki 1.8 will include the new storerewrite
and while I'm looking forward to this enhancement, I'm a bit worried
that it will have some larger impact on wikis that have a huge amount
of data stored with the current Store2 method.

Instead of having to switch to the new Storerewrite without any
opt-out/in option, I would rather see a possibility to switch from
Store2 to Store3 (that includes the new methods of storerewrite) by
using $smwgDefaultStore [1] which would ease the general
switch/testing without having to fear that the SMW 1.8 backend will be
somehow disrupted.

If "Store3" has been sufficiently tested in the field, it could be
used as default but for SMW release 1.8/1.9 we should give people a
chance to ensure that their environment can be upgraded with the least
possible disturbances.
