Yes, as I said, you will have to change the <input>, not the <select>. Have a look at .../libs/SemanticForms.js. Comboboxes handling is the first few lines. I guess the easiest would be to find the <select> by its tag and class name and then get the input. Did not test , but maybe something like $('select.className').next('input').
Generally you will also have to make sure that SemanticForms.js has already run when you run your code.
