Is there any sort of extension or result filter for SMW that works like the
Category Tree extension?

I've looked at the Tree result format and Semantic TreeView, but Tree view
is defunct, and the Tree result format doesn't quite do what I'm looking
for.
Basically what I'm looking for is something that works like the Category
Tree extension, but has the ability to be filtered from there (by property
or category). So, almost like some sort of cross between Drilldown and
Category Tree (but not on a special page like Drilldown).
The basic structure we've got is there's a category for each
department/group. And under that main category is a bunch of subjects
categories.
Example:
Server team
Hardware
Dell
HP
Software
Windows
Linux
