Here are a few more details :

- I finally managed to get the Special:Ask page to work. It only works when
I search for all articles in a given category, and since my wiki is in
French, it only finds results when I search for [[Catégorie:categoryname]] ;
[[Category:categoryname]] doesn't not work. I also noticed that the whole
string is case sensitive, but with weird results. If I search for
[[category:categoryname]] (ie if the case error is on the word "category"),
I get one result, which is the category itself. But if the case error is on
any letter but the first one within the category name, then I get no result
at all. If the case error is on the first letter of the category name, then
I get the results as if the case was the right one.

- the inline query works as well, but only with queries on categories, and
with the same restrictions as previously described (French writing, case
sensitiveness)

- I tried several case variations when trying to create a relation or an
attribute on an article, but none seemed to be working. I never got any
factbox at the bottom of the page, and everything happened as if my wiki
wasn't recognizing the SMW syntax. However, if I delete the 3 SMW tables
from the database, and then try to add an attribute or relation to an
article, I get an SQL error message upon validating the article edit. Which
means that the wiki actually tries to store the new datas.

- the 3 SWM database tables are remaining empty.

Any clue about what's wrong ?

Objet : Can't get semanticwiki to work

Hello

I just installed Semantic MediaWiki on my wiki (version 1.8.3).

I copied all the files to my wiki/extensions folder, I edited the SMW
localsettings file, then went to Special:SMWadmin page on my wiki. I got an
SQL error message ; then I created the tables manually, following the
information given at this page :

I went to the Special:SMWadmin page on my wiki again, got a message saying
the tables needed to be upgraded. I started the automatic upgrade, which
seemed to go fine. Now when I get to Special:SMWadmin, I get the following
message : "Your database setup seems to be alright". When I check the
Special:Version page of my wiki, Semantic MediaWiki appears in the list of
installed extension.

But my problem is that I can't have it work : when I try to add an attribute
or a relation into an article, everything happens as if the Semantic
Mediawiki syntax was not recognized. Example :

code :
Classify a [[example relation::link]] with the relation "example relation."

result :
Classify a
<http://ant-wiki-tests.cete-ouest.i2/wiki/index.php?title=Example_relation::
link&action=edit> example relation::link with the relation "example
relation."
(with a link for editing the article "example_relation:link" on the
underlined part)

Is there anything I forgot in the installation ? I read the INSTALL notes
several times and couldn't find anything related to the problem I'm
experiencing.

Thank you in advance for your help
