As Mr. Bowden said, just start annotating pages. Check Special:Attributes, Special:Relations, and Special:Types to see how people are using the features. http://ontoworld.org has some useful documentation pages for the built-in types (like http://ontoworld.org/wiki/Type:Float), and some pages with conversions for some physical quantities (like http://ontoworld.org/wiki/Type:Length). It also has the very useful {{ask}} template that queries for all use of an attribute or relation. And of course the help pages.
