Hello,

new in the development version (git master) is the SBC module. From the Readme:
The SBC application is a highly flexible high-performance
Back-to-Back User Agent (B2BUA). It can be employed for a
variety of uses, for example topology hiding, From/To
modification, enforcing SIP Session Timers, identity change,
SIP authentication. Future uses include accounting, call
timers, RTP call bridging, transcoding, call distribution.

Read the documentation here:
http://git.sip-router.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=sems;a=blob_plain;f=doc/Readme.sbc.txt

While we believe that SBCs are one of the things the world does not really need, apparently some marketing departments have convinced the world otherwise. However, once call bridging, transcoding and accounting is implemented, this application really has some good use cases.

So far, the functionality from the auth_b2b and the sst_b2b modules is implemented, so they are both now obsolete and should not be used any more. Corresponding call profiles can be found in the configuration directory (http://git.sip-router.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=sems;a=tree;f=apps/sbc/etc). Very soon the functionality of the call_timer, the sw_prepaid_sip and the b2b_connect applications will be implemented as well.

Any feedback and early testing is highly appreciated.

Best Regards
Stefan
