Right, that's part of what's going on in the offer/answer branch. In
fact, the plan was to merge this branch into master right after 1.4.
However, I am still working on the merge itself, as I have been
distracted by bug fixes and forked dialog support, which had a higher
priority.
If you are interested in participating in this effort, well that's very
nice! We will need a lot of testing, as the interfaces used by many
plug-ins has been re-worked.
In a few days at most, I should be able to share at least a first
version, which will need extensive tests and bug fixes.
