in debian, if i have in /etc/default/sems

SEMS_USER="root"
SEMS_GROUP="sems"

then starting of sems works using the supplied init.d script.

if i replace "root" with "sems", sems does not start, but gives error
message

Apr 16 18:29:32 localhost sems[16473]: Debug: (AmUtils.cpp)(str2i)(192): str2i:
unexpected char 0x73 in sems

i don't understand why. there is no tab within string "sems". my
/var/run/sems dir has mode 777.
