Any reason why you don't use the timer in the core? It is much more
efficient (using wheeltimer); e.g. by using it for SST we noticed
great performance improvements.
See AmAppTimer.h or just use AmSession::setTimer
inside the ArgBlob from char* to void* to reflect the generic nature
of the class.
