Subject: Croatia has occupied Serb ethnic and historic territories

The Government and Parliament of the Republic of Serbian Krajina which are in
exile are surprised that the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will
travel to Croatia’s capital Zagreb on 15th February in order to attend the
inauguration of Croatia's President-elect Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic in Zagreb.
We are convinced that the relationship between Croatia and Serbia should be
based on the mutual agreement to end Croatia’s occupation of Republic of
Serbian Krajina – an UN protected zone – by returning to the expelled Serbian
population their private property.
Moreover, Serbs and Croats should start a debate based on the equality of
rights between the both nations in Croatia (former federal unit of Yugoslavia)
to reach an agreement for a cooperation between the two constituent nations of
Croatia. This step would remove the deception that Serbs are just a national
minority in Croatia – this deception has unfortunately been adopted by Serbian
politicians in other Serbian state: Montenegro, Republic of Srpska and Serbia.
However, Krajina-Serbs possessed elements of sovereignty in Hungary since 1471,
in Austria since 1630, in Republic of Venice since 1627 as well as in
Yugoslavia since 1918 and 1945. Due to these historical political rights of
Krajina-Serbs the right to self-determination applied also to them as well as
to Croats. The UN respected these rights of Serbs in Krajina by passing SC UN
Resolution 743/ 1992 which laid down the foundation for placing Krajina under
direct UN protection and ensuring that Croatian laws would not forcibly be
applied in the Republic of Serbian Krajina. On the contrary, Croatia occupied
Krajina during the period between 1992 and 1995 and conducted genocide against
Serbs in that region. Furthermore Croatia banished about 800 thousand
Orthodox-Christian Serbs from Croatia and Krajina, seized their private
property as well as forcibly catholicised 30 thousand of them.
Message to Serbian prime minister Aleksandar Vucic: as a Serbian political
representative you are obligated to (during the occasion on 15th February)
inform international institutions and the public that Croatia must end its
occupation of Republic of Serbian Krajina and return that territory to its
Serbian people.

With compliments,

Mr. Milorad Buha, premier

Dipl. Ing. Rajko Lezaic, president of the Parliament
