Grasso: ROSU can enter north Kosovo without requesting permission, KSF cannot 24 Decembar 2018 12:30 2 minutes _____ BELGRADE - Kosovo's special police force ROSU is under no obligation to request anyone's permission to enter the north of Kosovo-Metohija, unlike the Kosovo Security Force, whose troop movements must be authorised by the KFOR commander, says KFOR spokesperson Vincenzo Grasso. In an interview to Belgrade's Politika daily, Grasso said KFOR was prepared to protect all citizens of Kosovo. "The ROSU special operations unit, which can also be armed with long-barrelled weapons, is a Kosovo Police unit and, as such, it has the mandate to enforce law across Kosovo, with no obligation to request permission," Politika quoted Grasso as saying. On the other hand, according to an earlier agreement, the Kosovo Security Force must have permission from the KFOR commander before engagements in the north of Kosovo, he said.
