Serbia, Hungary to jointly develop defence systems
Igor Bozinovski, Skopje - Jane's Defence Weekly 17 April 2019 Follow <https://www.janes.com/security/military-capabilities/rss> RSS A joint session between the governments of Serbia and Hungary, held in Subotica on 15 April, was used to sign a memorandum on military-technical co-operation that aims to further improve the bilateral defence affiliation between Belgrade and Budapest, which has already significantly intensified over the past two years. The memorandum calls for the implementation of joint projects in the field of weapons and military equipment, with a focus on mutual development and production of land systems and sophisticated weapons for combat aircraft as well as the joint modernisation of older generation defence systems used by the armed forces of both countries.
