The attacks came as part of NATO's 78-day war against Serbia <https://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics.php?yyyy=2017&mm=03&dd=24&nav_id=1008 47> waged in the spring of 1999. Human Rights Watch said a year later, in 2000, that there was no justification for the bombing of the broadcaster. Former RTS Director Dragoljub Milanovic was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2002 because he did not respect the order of the federal government at the time to relocate people and technology from the buildings in Aberdareva and Hilandarska streets. NATO leaders claimed that the attack was justified, while a special commission of the Hague Tribunal, which looked into the RTS bombing case, among other things, did not suggest to the prosecution to initiate criminal proceedings against them. NATO airstrikes killed 25-year-old Darko Stoimenovski, Nebojsa Stojanovic (26), Jelica Munitlak (27), Ksenija Bankovic (27), Dragorad Dragojevic (27), Dragan Tasic (29), Aleksandar Deletic (30), Slavisa Stevanovic (32), Sinisa Medic (32), Ivana Stukalo (33), Dejan Markovic (39), Milan Joksimovic (47), Branislav Jovanovic (50), Slobodan Jontic (54), Milovan Jankovic (59), and Tomislav Mitrovic (61). -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SERBIAN NEWS NETWORK" group.
