Reeker: US ready to involve, after Kosovo-Serbia resume dialogue - Gazeta Express 2 minutes _____ United States are ready to involve in Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, but this is possible only after both parties resume the dialogue, says Philip Reeker, acting assistant secretary of European and Eurasian affairs. Reeker said that on potential US involvement he recently discussed with the Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo. "US are absolutely ready to involve [in dialogue], and yesterday I have discussed with the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and we want to see progress. But we cannot make decision for you. Kosovo and Serbia should jointly decide on whether they are ready to resume the dialogue. We closely cooperate with our European Union partners. I was involved in the early stages of dialogue which brought the Brussels agreement, which I think made a big difference in improving everyday life, setting of a tempo, decrease of tensions in the region over the last five years," Reeker said. He said that both sides are willing to find a solution, thus contributing to stability and prosperity in Western Balkans. "I encourage Serbia and Kosovo to find a way and return to talks and they will have full support of the US and our European partners that through dialogue to reach a final agreement. I know they can do it," Reeker told an Atlantic Council audience speaking on US-EU relations.
