Janjic: Perhaps Thaci was not aware, but Americans were in the Berlin Summit - Gazeta Express 2-3 minutes _____ Kosovo president, Hashim Thaci, talking to media after the Berlin Summit held in April, said that he was shocked to learn that hosts of the Summit Germany and France, were not coordinated with the United States. German Government has refuted Thaci's claims, saying that they were in close and continues coordination with the US when it comes to dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. In meantime in an interview with Gazeta Express, political commentator and director of the Forum for Interethnic Relations in Belgrade, said the US was always involved in all developments related to Pristina-Belgrade dialogue. He said that Americans were present during the Berlin Summit, adding that perhaps Thaci has not seen them. "As far as I know the US is facing difficulties in finding a compromise between the President, Congress and State Department, but at the end the Congress and State Department are very coordinated and well-informed on Berlin Summit. Perhaps Thaci was not aware, but they [US representatives] were there [in Berlin]," Janjic told Gazeta Express. Among other things Janjic stated that America was always involved in dialogue process, adding that lately the US officials have decided to get directly involved and as he said this is a positive development. [They [the US officials] were always involved. But recently they have decided to directly involve and this is a good thing," Janjic stated. Serbian analyst forecasts that next Pristina-Belgrade meeting will be held in Paris by the end of September or beginning of October, adding that most likely authorities in Pristina might suspend the 100 percent tax on all Serbian goods. In November 2018 Kosovo Government introduced 100 percent tax on all Serbian goods countering Serbia's aggressive campaign against Kosovo's statehood. The tax remains into force despite international community request to suspend the tax. Kosovo prime minister Ramush Haradinaj says the tax will be revoked only after Serbia recognises Kosovo. /GazetaExpress/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SERBIAN NEWS NETWORK" group.
