Kosovo considering international arbitrage to solve financial claims with Serbia - Gazeta Express English Gazeta Express 08/12/2020 17:12 3 minutes _____ 08/12/2020 17:12 Kosovo and Serbia experts level teams will meet Thursday in Brussels as part of the EU facilitated dialogue to discuss financial claims. The Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti said this topic is very complicated and can be solved only through an international arbitrage. On 10 December, Kosovo and Serbia experts will meet in Brussels to discuss financial claims, although the EU as facilitators of the dialogue have not confirmed the agenda of the meeting. Gazeta Express has contacted the EU’s spokesperson, Peter Stano, who confirmed the experts level meeting taking place this Thursday without elaborating further. “Allow me to confirm that the next meeting between Kosovo and Serbia at the experts level will be held on 10 December in Brussels,” Stano said. The Kosovo Government’s spokeswoman, Antigona Baxhaku, told Gazeta Express that the Pristina’s team will be head by the State Coordinator on Dialogue with Serbia, Skender Hyseni. “The discussions will be continuation of the previous meeting on financial claims,” Baxhaku said. Prime Minister Hoti addressing media on Tuesday said that the dialogue is continuing based on the set principles since he assumed his duties in June 2020. “The dialogue is ongoing based on the principles we have set at the beginning of this process in July. Day after tomorrow a meeting will take place at the level of the dialogue coordinators on very specific topics,” Hoti said adding that the dialogue with Serbia can be concluded within months. “I Believe that we will conclude the dialogue process within months with a final agreement on mutual recognition, or we will conclude that we disagree on the final agreement on mutual recognition,” Hoti told media. Talking on the topic which will be discussed between Kosovo and Serbia on Thursday, the prime minister said that the issue of financial claims is complicated. “The issue of the financial claims between the two countries is very complicated and this will be decided only by the International Court of Arbitrage.
