Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated in Brussels, after a meeting with the
EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Peter Sorensen,
that Serbia remains committed to the dialogue under the auspices of the
European Union as the only framework that guarantees peace and stability in
Kosovo, according to Radiotelevision Serbia.

“We focused on concrete steps, the full implementation of the agreements
already reached, the de-escalation of the situation on the ground and the
protection of the rights of the Serbian people. I particularly emphasized the
importance of forming the Union of Serbian Municipalities, in accordance with
the agreements,” Vučić stated on his Instagram profile.

He added that Serbia remains a reliable and constructive partner, ready to
compromise while respecting international law. He thanked EU representatives
for their engagement and said that the talks will continue in order to preserve
peace and the normal life of citizens.

Vučić also participated in the “European Talks” session within the EU
Enlargement Summit in Brussels and met with the President of the European
Council, Antonio Costa. He also attended the dinner organized for the heads of
state and government by EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos.

Vučić also said that there is a small possibility that Serbia will open Cluster
3 in December (which includes several chapters from the accession negotiations
with the EU, which concern topics such as digital transformation and media,
taxes, monetary and economic policy, industrial and entrepreneurial policy,
science and research, education and culture) in the negotiations on EU
accession.

“We will do our best to try it by the end of the year. Everything depends on
the member states, especially on the representatives of the Scandinavian and
Baltic countries,” he said.
