My hunch that this had to do with our move from Fedora Core to Ubuntu
on our web server proved to be correct. The problem was a fairly minor
one - we use latex while generating the pdf files, and in Ubuntu for
some reason the fairly widely used style file fullpage.sty is not
included in the standard tex or latex. So, you need to installed
tetex-extra to get that style file.

After making that change, our pdf files are now being generated again.
If you are interested, I did that via

apt-get install tetex-extra

There was no need to modify anything in SenseClusters, this was more
of an Operating System utility issue.

So, I think all is back to normal! Please do let us know of any
