Hey list.
This is like my second or third posting
My car needs help. Here's what hapenned. On thursday, I went to my friends work, a
BMW dealership. He washed my car and then sprayed the engine with some cleaner, hosed
it off and high-pressure "dried" it. I was like, u sure this is cool? he said he did
it plenty of times before and it is all good. Anywho, the day after, the car was kind
of "choppy", in that upon even moderate acceleration it jerked and hesitated, as if it
was skipping a cylinder. My brother with some mechanical background said it is the
distributor after inspecting it. So I got a new distributor cap and rotor, but the
problem is still there... The car seems to be down on acceleration as well. a weird
thing is after driving on the highway at like 120, and getting off, it is back to
normal, but after sitting for a while it goes back to its jerky nature. At idle, it
shakes more and is a lot louder. I think it might be the right-most cylinder not
firing, cuz after removing the wire when engine was idlin!
g, no difference was seen or heard. Pulling any other wire resulted in the engine
almost stalling... My bros now says it might be the timing....
Any ideas?????

TIA
