I have a hayame muffler on my 94 XE, and I have been nothing but happy with
it. I forget the model I have, but it's a pretty big canister style muffler
with a 3.5" tip. I concede that it looks a bit, uh, large, on my car, but it
sounds great--none of the bumblebee in a coke can sound you get from smaller
canister mufflers. It's bassy at idle and gets a bit loud at high rpm. It
does drone a lot at highway speeds, but I also have no resonator, so that's
not all the muffler's fault. It is very well made--it's one piece of
stainless steel, no welds or seams anywhere. I highly recommend them.
