Greetings...

I recently installed a PaceSetter Short Throw shifter from Summit Racing for
about $95. I say short throw because of it's mechanical function, rather
than it being a visibly shorter shifter. In reality, it only sits about an
inch to an inch and a half shorter than than OEM stick. I have found that
the Pacesetter performs well and realistically reduces the throw by about
40% giving a very sporty feel and function. It installed easily (if you have
access to a lift) with the exception being that you have to modify the heat
shield. Initially, shifting felt very stiff. In time, it loosened up nicely.
Also, as recommended by some of the others, I purchased some aftermarket
shifter bushings (refer to your Haynes if unsure)from Courtest Nissan that
are designed to "soften/ease" the throw. I'll provide a personal review once
I have the bushings installed. I hope this short summarized review helps.
