Tonight I was walking back to my car from Wal-mart minding my own business
when I stopped dead in my tracks. There, a mere 10 feet away from my car, was
one of the SWEETEST classics I had ever seen. It was looked like a brand new
paint job, which was an absolutely beautiful white, lowered, some nice 15"
rims (unsure of the make) tinted, with an exhaust. It had shaved moldings,
and also the key lock and the passenger side door handle. The mirrors, grille
and drivers side door handle was also painted this beautiful white color. It
was a gorgeous car, I fell in love with it instantly.
Anyways, I made a point to conveniently park my car next to it and wait for
the owner to return to his car. I waited about 10 minutes and finally some
guy with his girlfriend came walking back. You would think that the rarity of
the classic SE-R in modified form would draw a stare from him to my car? Not
one look from him. In fact, I don't think he even noticed me.
Now onto the HORRIBLE SICKENING PART. The guy suddenly crouches down by his
front wheel, and reaching into his Wal-mart bag, he pulls out........I can
hardly say it......ughh.........CHROME FENDER TRIM!!! My mouth dropped open
as he began sticking that shit on his fenders. AGHHH!! NOO!!! Thats
automotive abuse! I was thinking to myself how he would could be lynched on
SE-R.net for commiting such taboo. I forced myself to watch the poor little
SR20 fall victim to it's owner's shameful acts. To make it worse, after
attaching that chrome crap on the front fenders he pulled out chrome door
side molding and began putting that on to. I felt so sorry for myself and the
poor little car that I decided to get the hell outta there.
I took one last glance at the beautiful but quickly sickening classic and
drove off into the sunset, knowing it would at the very least make a good
post. :(
