I think it was in grade 10 or something like that. [My highschool days] There were 2 guys that died that year. Just a few months away from graduation and they just had to get careless in their car. They were not racing but going really fast, they passed a poorly lit intersection going nearly 120kph and ran a stop sign. Ened up T-boning a pickup and the MX6 they were in tumbled through the air 3 times and ended in a ditch. From the impact, the passenger's seat belt anchoring bolt ripped out, throwing him through the windshield and landing him in the ditch. The other passenger sitting in the rear who was not wearing a seatbelt was also thrown. He later died 4 days later in the intensive care ward due to massive internal trauma. His liver had ruptured and they couldn't save him. The driver lived....... I can't remember what he was charged with but I'm pretty sure he has a record now. I can't even imagine being the driver in that incident. He was the one speeding, it was his car that his parents bought for him as a early graduation gift.
