An installers trick is to use a rag. While holding opposing corners, slide
the rag down behind the handle between the handle and the door panel. when
you slip it up to the base sort of wiggle the rag as you circle the handle
there is a little spring clip that will pop off and the handle will come
right off now. To put it back on just put the clip back in it's grove and
push it back in the crank shaft and it will pop right on.
