To take off the drag, they use different size pullys on the accessorys. Its
like a furnace motor and the pully on that. The air wasn't strong enough, so
we made the pully bigger on the fan part, that spun it faster with the same
motor HP. So if you make the engine one smaller and the fan part larger,
then the motor will be efficient and produce more power because it didn't
have to strain to turn that smaller pully. our engines have big crank pullys
and smaller accesory pullys, that sucks the power out ofthe motor because it
has to turn that smaller pully. If you increase the pully size on the water
pump or the alternator or power steering, the motor will not be strained to
run these things. UR makes the crank pully have smaller drive so you don't
have to change the rest ofthe pullys. I guess that the SER configuration
warrants changing all of these to create more power. This may have to do
with the setup of accessories, bcause they are vastly different where they
are placed on the SR20 and the GA16, check the manual, you will see.
