Yes, I can enlighten you. My friend had a 93 silver twin Turbo R1. The
thing was reliable , but needed run more often because the plugs fouled out
from not running it enough for a good highway trip. These motors need run!
He took his to Peter Farrell supercars and that guy converted the twin turbo
to a lawnmower size single turbo. They installed 2 extra injectors into the
plenum and new intercoolers and pipes, a custom 3" exhaust and also, it ran
on a new computer system with a keypad to program the thing. Also he ported
the rotor housings and added different apex seals for the large 22 psi of
boost! THat car ran 9.80 quarter mile, but he also spent about 25,000 to get
this into the 9.00's. The car also had no oiling mechanism and was running
on airplane fuel mixed with outboard engine oil, so that thing smoked all the
time, it made a loud pop between shifts and sounded great. The badthing was
it was not streetable and he blew 5 sets of apex seals driving around town.
He sold it and bought a Viper and messed with that thing too and crashed it.
