I know its 1 3/8 because we measured it.  The pipes are small no doubt, you 
should buy a cat-back 2" exhaust.  You can obtain an SE-R rear pipe section 
for $100.  I got one at Mieneke and its alluminized.  The rear section 
muffler that I used was a Borla 2" stainless steel, I have a 92 SE.  YOu can 
use a stillen rear section, a stromung, pacesetter.  I think you can get a 
pacesetter cat-back for the 91-94 cars.  Greddy makes a system cat-back 2" 
piping but pricey at 500+.
