Yes, this is another installment of "ST3's Homemade Aftermarket". Anyways, here is my question: I haven't had the opprotunity to take a close look at a set of projector headlights in person, but from what I can tell, they are nothing more than a set of foglights that are mounted on top of the bumper instead of below it. Is this true? Any light experts out there that could confirm or de-bunk this? If I understand the concept correctly, there are 2 projectors per side: one of the low beam, one for the high beam. If this is the case, wouldn't be easier for someone to make a "hollow" casing that is designed for a specific foglight (size) to fit into, and then mounted in the stock location for headlights? If someone was to do this, they could market the casing for far less than the entire light and probably make more money on it. Just some of my thoughts. Anyone care to comment?
