While on the subject of the day (torque converters)... For those of us with automatics, who makes a good one? What would be a good stall? I am thinking around 3000rpm, that is where my car starts to move. Does precision make one? http://www.converter.com/ or should I have protorque http://www.protorque.com/ make one for me? Anyone know of a company that makes them for our cars already? The one big problem I have with my car is that the tranny is built for economy and not speed. The engine seems to be very receptive to mods, but the tranny is holding me back. My car really moves in the mid to high rpm range, but doesn't seem to get the power to the wheels on the low end. Anyone race an auto yet. I would be interested in knowing how they did. Did they use a trans-brake or power brake it or rev it to 3000rpms and neutral dump it or what? I bet my car would do really well in the 1/4 if I had a good torque converter. I would like to do a before and after if I can get one that doesn't cost 3 million dollars.
