I had the same problem, it studders and hit the gas and it like shorts out?  
My coil went bad due to my Nology wires rubbed on the TB linkage and wore a 
hole in the wires  and grounded, shorted the coil out.  I was lucky, but that 
is the culprit.  Try a new coil from a junkyard, or a good one from a friend, 
see if that is the problem.  Like I said mine did that same thing.  I bought 
a new coil and it costed me 180.00.  Not good!
