Questions for Mike Kojima or any one else who may have the correct answers: I'm thinking about taking my Sentra into a local speed shop called Hot Rod City located in El Cajon Ca. They have a dyno, To find out once and for all for myself just what kind of Horse Power I'm getting to the drive wheels, while its on the dyno, I'd like to get the timing advanced, I beleive they do not work on very many Sentras or other 4 cyclinder autos and I think they are mostly geared to American V8's and V8 Hot Rod type cars/trucks. Other than following the instructions in a FSM to set the timing for my Sentra is there anything else I should be aware of as to the timing advancement while it is being done on the Dyno? I have my Sentra tore down replacing the ball joints and front control arm bushings, sents I have removed the front sway bar (Suspension Techniques, brand) and it has polyurethane type bushings in the end links and polyurethane bushings in the brackets that hold the sway bar and they have about 25 thousand miles on these bushings, I was thinking it might not be a bad idea to replace them also, the polyurethane bushings do not show much sign of wear other than the bushings on the end links have taken a "set" type of look where they touch the sway bar, and I beleive they are fine to re use after cleaning them up and regreasing them with a polyurethane bushing type grease, but sents they have this "set" type of look to them would it be a good idea at this time while the sway bar is removed to also replace these bushings or is this in fact a normal thing that happens to these type of bushings? Also would I use the recomended tork settings in the FSM for the tighting of these bushings on the end links and sway bar. I was wondering because I am guessing the recomended tork setting are for a stock Nissan type bushing and sents the other bushings are made out of polyurethane, I was wondering if the tork settings might be different. I've lost the paper work from Suspension Techniques and I can't remember if they were or not. Also what are your thoughts about a Quick-Links (brand name) adjustable type end links which have a teflon lined rod end bearing for the front? I do not think I would be able to use these on the rear sway bar. My Sentra is a 1997 GLE and is a daily driver and some times used in Solo 2 events. I may have the type of different bushings used mixed up with urethane type bushings, but it has one brand or the other, incase this should make a different in your answers back to me. Thanks In Advance Ronald Slate
